Launch of the report “Making A Difference- An Evaluation Report of the World Breastfeeding Trends Initiative (WBTi) in Mobilising National Actions on Breastfeeding and IYCF, 12 June 2020
The Breastfeeding Promotion Network of India (BPNI), South Asian arm of the International Baby Food Action Network (IBFAN) and the WBTi Global Secretariat are hosting the web launch of the report “Making A Difference- An Evaluation Report of the World Breastfeeding Trends Initiative (WBTi) in Mobilising National Actions on Breastfeeding and IYCF, 2020”.
The WBTi is based on the WHO's “Tool for national assessment of policy and programmes on infant and young child feeding” and measures ten parameters of policy and programmes that protect, promote and support optimal infant and young child feeding (IYCF) practices. The WBTi global repository has data from 98 countries on status of breastfeeding policy and programmes. The evaluation report presents WBTi as a valid tool to measure policies and generate local action. Further details of the WBTi programme can be accessed HERE
